As of this morning we have cleared the land where we want to put the house, put electricity back there, had the foundation runners and septic system installed. The house will be ready the end of March. After it is hauled from Ft. Worth and placed here it will have to be finished up before we can move in. We bought a palm Harbor Heritage III 1640 sq, ft. with 3 bedrooms 2 baths. We are very excited about it and I will be having a house warming party probably in the fall.
Our good friends, Eric's parents Lee and Cindy cleared the land for us to which we will be eternally grateful. Michael and His friend Steve has also done a lot of work for us and we have truly appreciated it.
On our way home from Idaho this past fall our truck broke down 35 miles from Brownwood which was our last stop on the way home. Luckily my brothers all live there and were able to assist us. We had to stay in a small motel/rv park in Cross Plains, Texas while our truck was being repaired. It ended up being a great spot too, so if any of you rv'ers are driving thru there its only 17 dollars a night with FHUs and cable tv and its near Abilene. Our stops along the way home were Arches, Canyonlands and Mesa Verde National Parks. And let me tell you, each one was maginficent and unique. Climbing down to the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde was quite strenuous but worth it. We also hit these places at a great time weather wise... not too hot!
We got home in time for Evans birthday and Melissa's 3Day for the Cure Walk in Dallas. We took the trailer up to Dallas and Eric and Evan stayed with us and we went each day to cheer Melissa on. She was asked to carry a flag at the opening and closing ceremonies which pleased her and made us very proud. Again a thank you to all who help Melissa meet her goal!
While we were in Dallas we visited one of Marks army buddies and friends of ours Pete and Mary Ann. We had a great time with them and hope that we will see them again soon.
The weekend after Thanksgiving Melissa, Eric, Evan and I went to one of my favorite places Disney World....... We had so much fun with Evan there. He loved the Buzz Lightyear ride and we rode it about 10 times. It was a great time of the year to go because the weather was great and the park was decorated for Christmas. I even did some of my Christmas shopping there..
I took a short trip to Atlanta to see Michelle, Taylor and Ian in February just in time for Michelle's ?? birthday party. Its amazing how quickly the kids grow!

Since then we have been working on our house, deciding what we wanted etc. We worked on doing some hand clearing and Mark has used some of the cedars that we cut down to make a tree-house for Evan and any other grand-kids that want to play there. It's really cute because Evan asks us if its finished yet every time we talk to him.I am also planning a family reunion for my family for the July 4th weekend. I figured that we should try to get together before we all start kicking the bucket! After all I am going to start my social security in June! You know that Mark is salivating over that! hahahaa

How exciting! We didn't know the decision was final. We'll look forward to the housewarming! Will there be beer?
Started telling Oktoberfest stories this morning in the office when someone asked if I'd been there! Good times! Will look forward to seeing you later in the summer, perhaps? Love to you!
